Before his current role as CEO, Syed Anis Ahmed served as chief financial officer at Abbott Laboratories (Pakistan) Ltd. He has over 25 years of experience in senior commercial and finance roles where he provided his guidance and leadership across different functions. Mr Ahmed also served as president of the American Business Council and chairman of the Pharma Bureau where he played a major role in highlighting different issues faced by the pharmaceutical industry.
He was previously associated with A.F. Ferguson & Co. — a member firm of the PwC network — and Philips Pakistan. Mr Ahmed is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.
