Ahmed Zahid Zaheer serves as Country Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Chevron Pakistan Lubricants (Private) Limited. Additionally, Ahmed also served as the CEO and General Manager of Chevron’s Joint Venture in Saudia Arabia (Chevron Bakri Limited). Prior to joining Chevron in 2014, Ahmed had held significant senior roles at the country leadership level with Shell and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) LPG Limited.
A seasoned Board Member and CEO in the oil and gas industry, bringing a wealth of experience in the downstream oil and gas sector, particularly with proven expertise in revitalizing and integrating businesses with a particular focus on lubricants, fuels, LPG, and synthetic natural gas (SNG).
Ahmed has spent over ten years on Chevron’s leadership team, leading strategic initiatives for Caltex, enhancing the portfolio, and playing a key role in reintroducing Caltex retail fuels in Pakistan.
His achievements include leading major capital investment projects such as the development of a state-of-the-art fully automated blending and filling facility for Chevron Pakistan’s lubricants business.
Ahmed was nominated to attend the esteemed Chevron Asia Pacific Leadership Development Programme at INSEAD, Singapore in 2023. Qualified as a mechanical engineer from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Chicago USA, and he holds a Master of Business Administration from the Stuart School of Business (IIT), Chicago, USA.
He began his professional journey in the USA as a trainee engineer at Motorola Inc.'s Chicago headquarters, where he contributed to the renowned corporate manufacturing research centre and played a key role in the groundbreaking Motorola Smart Card Manufacturing project.
