The OICCI Security Awareness Session was held on April 4, 2024, for security and administration experts of member companies. The session, titled "Crisis Management Tabletop Exercise," was conducted by Hammad Hussain, a member of the OICCI security subcommittee. This hybrid session was attended by approximately 45 participants, both in-person and online.

The session provided an overview of crisis management, defining a crisis as a major, unpredictable event that can impact an organization and its stakeholders. It highlighted the difference between incidents and crises, noting that incidents have low impact, while crises significantly affect operations and reputation. Key components of effective crisis management were discussed, including immediate response actions such as headcount, leadership notification, and timely assistance.

Additionally, the session covered the phases and impacts of a crisis, roles within a crisis management team, and various types of crisis management exercises to ensure preparedness and continuous improvement.
