OICCI organized a webinar titled “Creating Sustainable Social Impact Models” on July 29, 2022, in collaboration with SEED Ventures. The session discussed the need for creating sustainable social impact models especially those ones that are self-reliant and can create impact at scale. The session was attended by around 50 senior executives and CSR/Sustainability Managers of OICCI member companies.
The senior representatives of four social sector organizations shared their respective presentations and described their activities, social impact they are creating with their initiatives and their support to the community.
From SEED Ventures, CEO Shaista Ayesha presented; ENSOGOV, Founder & Director Sajjeed Aslam; ConnectHear, CEO & Founder Azima Dhanjee; and from TrashIt, Director & Trainer Fatima Asad; represented their respective organizations.
Shaista Ayesha explained that how SEED Ventures positions itself as a Social, Entrepreneurship, and Equity Development organization and working as social impact ecosystem developers and impact investors. They have supported a number of organizations in their initiatives for creating sustainable social impact.
Sajjeed Aslam highlighted that ENSOGOV is an ESG tech and data-led startup delivering a sprint model to accelerate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) transitions for companies in Pakistan and abroad. They explained how ESG is an emerging subject all over the world and especially in Pakistan.
Azima Dhanjee shared an inspiring startup namely ConnectHear which is a social start-up and led by aspiring youth. The startup is working for sign language accessibility and deaf inclusion in Pakistan, and it has helped several deaf people to communicate in their daily routine in an efficient manner.
Fatima Asad introduced the audience with TrashIt which advocates and leads with an action-driven approach to collect, up-cycle, and reintroduce food waste as natural earthy compost for sustainable, organic farming in our backyards. The initiative is also an inspiring one.
The participants liked the work of the organizations and hoped to collaborate with them in the future.
