OICCI hosted an interactive ESG-focused workshop on Pakistan Green Taxonomy, led by Mr. Farrukh Rehman, Chairman of the Sustainability Working Group at the The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). The workshop commenced with opening remarks by OICCI Secretary General/Chief Executive, Mr. M Abdul Aleem, who formally introduced the speaker.
The discussion centered on Pakistan Green Taxonomy, ESG reporting, and corporate accountability. Mr. Rehman provided an in-depth overview of the Pakistan Green Taxonomy, highlighting its role in guiding sustainable investments and aligning business practices with national climate goals. ESG disclosures and the ways in which businesses can meet evolving standards to strengthen corporate accountability were discussed in detail during the session.
Following the workshop, member company representatives attending both in person and online actively participated in a Q&A session. The event concluded with closing remarks by Mr. M. Abdul Aleem.
