The 4th Pakistan Climate Conference held on February 9, 2026, at Movenpick, Karachi was a full day of high-impact dialogue, policy insight, and private-sector leadership under the theme “The Climate Acceleration: From Commitment to Competitive Edge in the Decisive Decade.” Convened by OICCI, the conference brought together senior government leadership, regulators, global institutions, and business leaders to move the climate conversation from intent to implementation.
The day opened with reflections leadership perspectives from Yousaf Hussain, CEO Faysal Bank Limited, and Joselito "Jason" Avancena, Senior Vice President OICCI and CEO, Nestlé Pakistan. Muhammad Aurangzeb, Federal Minister, Ministry of Finance, Government of Pakistan, emphasized the urgency of mobilizing climate finance and enabling green, investable and bankable projects, while Aisha Humera, Federal Secretary, Ministry of Climate Change, Pakistan, outlined the policy and institutional framework shaping Pakistan’s climate response.
Throughout the day, panels and discussions addressed Pakistan’s climate landscape, geopolitics and global climate governance, climate and sustainable finance, artificial intelligence and digital solutions for climate resilience, renewable energy transition, circular economy models, water stewardship, biodiversity, and sustainable resource management within the blue economy. Global perspectives were shared by senior leaders and sustainability experts from Nestlé, Unilever, Beko Global, and Standard Chartered Bank.
The conference concluded with address by Federal Minister for Climate Change, Dr. Musadik Malik, reaffirming the government’s commitment to climate action, followed by the 2nd OICCI Climate Excellence Awards, recognizing organizations translating sustainability commitments into measurable impact:
