style="text-align: justify;">Aman Ghanchi, Company Secretary of Unilever Pakistan Limited and member of OICCI Regulatory Subcommittee, conducted an awareness session about the Intellectual Property Rights at Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi. The session was attended by the students graduating in Economics, Accounting and Finance and Business Administration. During the session, Aman Ghanchi discussed the importance of a robust IPR regime to foster the culture of research, innovation and product development in a country.

He briefed the students about the different kinds of IP rights including Trademarks, Copyrights, Patents, Designs, Data Privacy, Geographical Indications and trade secrets etc. The session remined interactive throughout as students participated actively through their questions and comments about the various kinds of IPR and its various aspects. This seminar is the part of the efforts of OICCI to create an awareness among the society about the importance of brands and IP rights.
