The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Pakistan, H.E Ina Lepel , accompanied by Consul General, Thomas E. Schultze , visited OICCI on February 2, 2026.

The German delegation was welcomed by OICCI SG, M Abdul Aleem , and Executive Director, Kashif Shafi. The meeting included an interactive discussion with senior leadership of OICCI member companies, including Syed Muhammad Daniyal , Managing Director, Siemens Pakistan Engineering Co. Ltd. Engineering; Andrew Bailey Bailey, Managing Director, BASF Pakistan Pvt. Ltd.; Usman Wali , Managing Director, @DHL Pakistan; Jahanzaib Muhammad Khan , Chief Financial Officer, Bayer Pakistan; and Waqar Ahmed , Business Area General Manager, Siemens Energy.

M. Abdul Aleem gave an introductory presentation and highlighted the Chamber’s role, its policy advocacy efforts, and the contribution of its member companies to Pakistan’s economy. Discussions focused on the overall business environment in Pakistan, recent economic developments, foreign direct investment trends, challenges and opportunities. The exchange also covered opportunities for strengthening bilateral economic engagement and improving the investment climate.

The meeting concluded with Ambassador Ina Lepel expressing her appreciation for OICCI’s comprehensive briefing and thanking the Chamber for hosting, with discussions to have further coordination between OICCI and the Embassy.
