German Consul General Dr Rudiger Lotz along with a small delegation of German Emirati Joint Council for Industry & Commerce visited the OICCI to discuss investment opportunities in Pakistan and seek OICCI’s view of the current challenges and opportunities to foreign investors in Pakistan.

During the meeting, OICCI CE/Secretary General M Abdul Aleem shared the latest assessment of the Business Confidence Index Survey conducted recently as well as other surveys the Chamber conducts periodically with its members.

SG Aleem recommended that there is great opportunity to attract FDI in Pakistan, especially for re-export considering the low-cost of production in US dollars term in the country.

The German delegation comprised of Trade & Economic Officer Shazia Shaikh, UAE German Chamber Country Head of Pakistan Muhammad Usman, Hapag-Lloyd AG Managing Director Dr. Carolin Stumm LL.M. , Business Development Manager Laurene Chapus-Fournier, MBA , and Giesecke+Devrient Sales Director Ben Banijamali.
