On May 15, 2025, a delegation from the BOARD OF INVESTMENT (BOI) visited the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI), comprising ambreen iftikhar (Additional Secretary, BOI), Mahmood Tufail (Director General, BOI), Usman Khan, CFA IMC (Investment Lead, ReMIT, FCDO), Ishaq Ateeq (Legal Specialist, BOI), Kishwer Ali Artas (SME Specialist, BOI), and Sahibzadi Wasimah Umer (Special Secretary, Industries, Commerce & Investment).
The delegation was welcomed by OICCI Secretary General M Abdul Aleem, Executive Director Kashif Shafi, and Research Officer Javaria Shaikh Ismail. Discussions focused on regulatory reforms and the business environment in Pakistan, BOI’s role in enabling regulatory reforms, and progress on OICCI’s proposals for the Companies Act 2017.
The meeting also explored future collaboration between OICCI and BOI to promote FDI and improve the regulatory framework. Legal representatives from the member companies of OICCI’s Regulatory Sub-Committee also participated in the session.
