Ambassador of Austria to Pakistan and Afghanistan, Andrea Wicke, along with key delegates, visited the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) to explore investment prospects in Pakistan. OICCI CE/Secretary General M Abdul Aleem briefed the delegation on Pakistan's business landscape, emphasizing efforts to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

The Austrian Ambassador highlighted the importance of regional trade, particularly within SAARC, while stressing the need to build a positive perception of Pakistan globally. Despite concerns raised about political uncertainty and regional security, both parties expressed optimism, underscoring the growing interest of foreign entities in contributing to Pakistan's economic development.

The meeting was also attended by Hussain Islam, chairman of the Prime Minister's Task Force in the Strategic Reforms Unit, Johannes Brunner, commercial counsellor of the Austrian Embassy Commercial Section, and Usman Mohiuddin, Commercial Advisor at Advantage Austria.
