Stefan Dercon, Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Oxford and former Chief Economist of the UK’s Department for International Development, along with Noam Rosenbaum, Diplomat, UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, visited OICCI for a meeting to exchange views on Pakistan’s economic outlook and investment climate on February 11, 2026.

They were welcomed by SG OICCI, M Abdul Aleem and Executive Director Kashif Shafi.

The discussion focused on the current economic environment, FDI challenges and emerging opportunities, ease of doing business, and key insights from the OICCI Perception Survey 2025, along with broader perspectives on regulatory and business matters shaping investor confidence in the country.
