On Monday, July 14, 2025, the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) hosted Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Muhammad Aurangzeb and Advisor to Finance Minister Khurram Schehzad for an interactive session with its members and key stakeholders from the country’s business community. He was welcomed to the Chamber by OICCI President Yousaf Hussain, members of the Managing Committee, Secretary General M Abdul Aleem, and Executive Director Kashif Shafi.

The session commenced with President Yousaf Hussain emphasizing the importance of sustained dialogue between the business community and the government. He noted encouraging signs of macroeconomic stabilization and highlighted that OICCI’s Business Confidence Index (BCI) indicates rising investor confidence. Secretary General M. Abdul Aleem provided an overview of Pakistan’s Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) landscape and shared preliminary insights from the upcoming OICCI Perception Survey.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb shared key priorities from the Federal Budget for FY 2025-26 and invited the OICCI leadership along with foreign investors and stakeholders from the business community to Islamabad for a comprehensive briefing on the Federal Board of Revenue’s ongoing ‘People, Process, Technology’ transformation. He encouraged investment in high-potential sectors such as mining, agriculture, IT, and infrastructure, and assured stakeholders of the government’s commitment to addressing policy challenges and enhancing the investment climate. The session concluded with a press conference addressed by the Finance Minister, OICCI President, and Secretary General.
