OICCI hosted a knowledge-sharing session on “Accelerating AI Value Delivery – Use Cases, Lessons and Success Criteria”, featuring a delegation from Teradata comprising David Jerrim, Field CTO – EMEA; Paul Ibberson, Ecosystem Architect – EMEA; and Aleksandras Tkacenko, Financial Services AI Specialist.
The delegation was welcomed by OICCI Secretary General M Abdul Aleem, Executive Director Kashif Shafi and Assistant Manager IT & Administration Syed Waqar Arif.
The speakers discussed the evolution of enterprise AI, from assistants and copilots to agentic AI capable of supporting business processes and executing tasks towards defined outcomes. They highlighted the challenges of moving AI initiatives from pilots into production, emphasizing the importance of strong data foundations, reliable context, governance and integration with existing business processes.
Drawing on examples across financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, logistics and customer service, the speakers demonstrated how AI can automate repetitive tasks while retaining human oversight. A case study from an Asian bank illustrated how AI-enabled call centre solutions can support call summarization and CRM updates, allowing employees to focus on more complex customer interactions.
An interactive discussion with member company representatives followed, exploring the value of developing reusable AI capabilities across business functions and practical approaches to scaling AI adoption, improving productivity and enhancing service quality.
