On World Environment Day, the OICCI hosted its first ESG-focused workshop with Dawar H., Head of Climate & Sustainability Services at Climate Finance Pakistan. The workshop addressed Climate Governance, focusing on Pakistan’s Climate Finance landscape and the private sector’s role and opportunities in driving Climate Finance.

Mariam Durrani moderated the session, and CE/Secretary General M Abdul Aleem emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in achieving Pakistan’s climate goals. Mr. Hameed shared insights from Pakistan’s first Climate Governance framework, developed in partnership with Transparency International. This framework provides a comprehensive audit of the country's existing climate finance landscape, tools, and systems.

This workshop is the first in a series aimed at raising awareness and building organizational capacity for a greener future.
