	At the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry, our prime objective is to use the global business expertise of our members for the joint benefit of the country and Investors. For this, we strongly advocate the development of a business environment that provides a level playing field which is conducive, equitable and open to all. This will facilitate new investment in the economy from both local and foreign investors which is critical to ensure that Pakistan�s economy continues to grow at the target rates. We aspire to make OICCI a proactive organization through the facilitation of investment, working with the government, identifying opportunities and boosting economic growth and employment in Pakistan. The government has significantly improved economic stewardship over the last six years. We fully support the government in promoting second generation reforms aimed at increasing competitiveness and by benchmarking the regulatory environment in key sectors of the economy and industry. The first generation reforms already implemented, have given initiative to other sectors like telecommunications and banking and we hope the government and its policies will maintain pace in order to benefit other sectors in the future as well.
