OICCI Perception Survey 2009 Launched:

An overwhelming majority, 74 percent of foreign investors in Pakistan have shown interest in continuing to invest during the next two years. These findings came as part of the Perception Survey 2009 which was launched by Mr. Farrukh H. Khan, President OICCI on March 3, 2010, at the OICCI.

A delegation of the UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) visited the Overseas Investors’ Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OICCI) today to get an overview of international companies operating in Pakistan and to discuss issues hampering FDI & trade. The main concerns include the current economic situation, energy crisis, law and order and the availability of specialized capital/receptive financial markets in Pakistan.

A delegation headed by the US Ambassador Anne Patterson visited the Overseas Investors’ Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OICCI) today to discuss the previous year and outline the agenda for 2010.

The delegation included Mr. Stephen Fakan - Consul General Karachi, Ms. Mary Elizabeth Madden - Economic Officer, Consulate General Karachi and others.
